Trainer Pathways

Pathways exist for trainers from grassroots football to high performance.                                   NZRL are reviewing their trainer education in conjunction with ACC and the NRL, to provide pathways for trainers in New Zealand to the highest level. At current, NZRL delivers the Developing Trainer course, aimed at up-skilling trainers at the club and representative levels. The Developing Trainers Course covers the following aspects:

• The Role of the Trainer
• Injury Management
• ACC LeagueSmart Warmup
• Concussion Response Processes
• Strapping Concepts
• Return to Play Protocols

Course details:

• Course length: 5-6 hours
• Cost: $50pp
• Accreditation: lasts 3 years
