National Youth Tournament 2024:

​​​​​​​Our U18 Northern Swords team, led by Andrew Wharton and Jeremiah Fatialofa, recently competed in the National Youth Tournament in Tauranga. While the results were mixed, the girls fought hard and played some close games against some of the best teams in the country.

The team was captained by Amo Messant, who praised the players for their efforts: "The girls performed really well given the challenges we faced leading up to the tournament. We lost a few players to injury and had to call up some last-minute replacements. I'm really proud of how we finished, with two wins on the last day, and I want to thank the U16 girls, Elina and Jayden, for stepping up and playing with us."

The girls will now have a well deserved break after a long representative season, and we look forward to seeing them back in Swords colours in 2025.
